The Minutes & Seconds b4 I was Born
29/04 ... one day before Fred was born..
hubby and I went to weekly appointment with our gynae, Dr Lee @ 2.30pm. He checked that i had infection and suggested that I should stayed in the hospital for observation... We agreed... Hubby went to do the administration while I lying on the bed doing the CTG @ the delivery suite... At around 6pm, Dr Lee came.... He told us to stayed for one day for observation.... Then the nurse told me to pass motion and I went to the normal ward (528)
30/4....
At around 4am, I saw pink stain and went to told the nurse.... She told meto have a good rest first.... Then I smsed my hubby... I tried to catch some sleep.... At around 8am, the breakfast came but I dun have appetitte to eat... At around 10am, hubby came and I told him I in pain... We timed the contractions and the contractions was 4 mins interval. At around 11pm, I told the nurse I couldn't stand the pain anymore and the nurse checked me.... The cervix was already 3cm...
I was wheeled to the delivery suite... The suite looked scarey... I cried.... telling hubby that I was veri scared.... Then i had saline drip inserted... Then the Anaesthetist came... Feel more relieved now.... Hubby went for lunch... Dr Lee came around 1pm , and the cervix was already 7cm... He told hubbythat he will be back in an hour time.... In the meantime, my hubby and i were chatting and watching TV... At around 2pm, the nurse said the cervix was fully dilated... the nurse told my hubby how to hold my head... I pushed and some of Fred's hair could be seen... then Dr Lee came.... having pushed for 20 mins, no strength already... Dr Lee placed the suction cap on baby's head...
Finally! Frederick was born & placed on my chest... I cried the first time i heard his cries.... Dr Lee was busy stitching away below while the nurse was taking Fred's measurement... after Fred taking his measurement, the nurse put him on my shoulder...
